The title of the movie makes us realize what the male gaze has done to our society, where it makes being an 18 year old virgin not okay. Many young women think it is abnormal to be an 18 year old virgin, because of the male gaze and movies similar to this.  So they are feeling pressured to go with the “norm” by not being a virgin, to grow up faster, and to give in to the sexual-objectification.
